J's Chimes: Final Fantasy XIII To Get Part 2

Strangely enough, Final Fantasy XIII is getting a continuation this year as announced by Square Enix. Despite the criticism about the previous game, it seems like they had decided to lay another bet which many fans doubt it would be enough to fully satisfy what they really want. The Final Fantasy Franchise has been wobbly these years due to the fact that the RPG eras have been long gone and FPS have been the hottest in recent years...

Despite all of that, a little introduction video of the new FFXIII-2 is not only visually stunning, but seems kinda fun in some ways or another. However, I would probably wait for the reviews and judgment first before deciding on purchasing anymore Final Fantasy series games...

J's Chimes: Spice Up Your Facebook...

Got a little bored with your Facebook profile picture? How about making a continuous banner of your photos that runs onto into the status bar on your profile page? Experimented it a little when I stumbled upon Youtube clip by accident that gives a tutorial on how to make these... Below is a short clip in which you can view and learn how to make this...

However if you do not have the photoshop software to make this, there are many other ways to make this too. All you need is MS paint and that's about it. (I did it using MS paint so you don't actually need something so sophisticated for your artistic work...)

J's Chimes: Japanese Spiderman...

It's kinda weird to have found out that there was actually a Japan version of Spiderman that was aired long time ago. What's even weirder was that in this version, Spiderman has a motorbike just like Kamen Rider and also a giant robot to control and defeat even villains just like the power ranger megazoids. Didn't know Spiderman was so much more high tech and rich the last time but what happens now? Spiderman can't even afford to pay his rents and depicts as a nerdy guy now... Nevertheless, this is a serious classic in which we could all laugh out loud...

J's Chimes: I Love Milk!

One of the funniest commercial I've ever seen in regards to advertising milk. And with an anime twist, this seems somewhat more of a R18 animation than something pure. But nevertheless, it does grab the attention of people that milk is good... Yup, a little too good coming from something else other than cows. Even the farmers are happy.

J's Chimes: Kimi Ni Todoke 2nd Season

It's finally here! Kimi Ni Todoke season 2 has finally been broadcast on the 4th Jan 2011. One of the most popular animes of all time that turned into a live action movie in Japan. For those who yet to know of this title, I suggest you watch season 1 first before looking into this. Anyway episode 0 of Kimi Ni Todoke 2nd season is actually a recap of season 1. But what's truly amazing is the brand new opening and ending theme which sounds so melodic and nice... A highly recommended anime this season.

J's Chimes: Figure Randomness

Some fan decides to do a stop motion video using figmas, MMS and Revoltechs from various animes. Kinda comedic though as it looks as if some kid is playing with his toys with lots of randomness but in some way or another it seems rather unique and nice. It takes really lots of time just to snap and move the figures into place and perhaps this 'director' does have all the time in the world to do so. To watch more of his hilarious and awesome videos, you can click on here to view them in Youtube.

J's Chimes: Anime Roundup

How would you like to see many different animes come together all in one into one flash animation? An amazing animation by go-devil-dante which features theoretically some famous animes you've seen on tv. Having said so, its a bit of BL content but the animation makes up for it as its transitions and quality is really good. Ya can visit his site at deviantart.com. For a higher quality version of this animation, you can visit the link here.

J's Chimes: 10 Emotional Anime Ending Themes

Sometimes anime songs touches your hearts too. There are animes that have a wacky and comical opening and end themes but amidst them all lies some of the best songs around in which you would replay over and over. Some of my favorites are listed below. Somehow it get you all emotional just hearing these songs and makes your heart all fuzzy like...

1.) Fortune Arterial Akai Yakusoku - I Miss You

One of my favorite songs this season. Perhaps you should try letting your loved ones hear it too because it's just so... ermm.. emotional... I loved how they make the background though... those pictures speak a thousand words...

2.) Panty And Stocking With Garterbelt - Fallen Angel

I don't really know why but this song gets me all the time and every time I watched this anime, I wouldn't skip this end theme. Sometimes, theme songs need to be this nice so that people would tend to appreciate it... Even though the anime might be criticized a lot for its artwork and stuff...

3.) Darker Than Black - Tsuki Akari

Soothing and nice song to end an incredibly action-packed anime. Though the background maybe a bit simple, it brings forth the calmness and ever so soft side of this anime.

4.) Angel Beats - Brave Song

Perhaps one of the best emotional songs last season is Angel Beats Brave Song. Every time it does make you feel like you gonna cry after hearing it... The song lyrics depicts a person braving through all odds while walking his path alone and he has to stay strong and move towards his destination. Very suitable for an anime like Angel Beats...

5.) Blassreiter - Sad Rain

Sad Rain has accompanied me through the tough times when I was feeling down during those days and it has always been a nice song for me. Sometimes it's weird to be hearing sad sounds when you're down but it really helps to get up up again and move on in life... Though the background animation wasn't as expected, otherwise this would be a nice emotional song...

6.) Fate Stay Night - Anata Ga Ita Mori

Goes without saying... Perhaps one of the best emotional songs in popular animes like Fate Stay Night. Keep your replay button going and you would get a little addicted to it... Suits for a sad ending for Saber...

7.) Kekkaishi - Akai Ito

Slow beat music couldn't get any better than this as it slowly picks up the pace... Especially the strumming of the guitar which makes it so irresistable to hear, not to mention the emotions the singer put into this song...

8.) Kimi Ni Todoke - Kataomoi

Can't find the ending theme video because of copyright infringements... In any case, Kataomoi is probably one of the best songs for an anime like Kimi Ni Todoke... I recommend anyone to watch this anime because it shows the slice of life of a girl who is all alone but slowly picked up the courage and pace to be accepted by others, with the help of a boy she so loves dearly.

9.) Maburaho - We'll Get There Someday

Quite an old anime but still brings back fond memories with this tune... Was serving the anime back then and began hearing these just about every night before bedtime... Reason being I'll really like to get there someday... and that 'there' refers to out of National Service...

10.) Shuffle! - Innocence

Sad anime + Sad song = Win. But perhaps it's still better to play this game instead of watching the anime which only tells a part of the entire story... And with a few twists here and there...

And of course there are still plenty of other amazingly nice end themes out there. J's Chimes will bring you more of the best anime end themes on later posts, along with some popular opening themes to current date so stay tune...

J's Chimes: Anime Music On The Yamaha Stagea Electone

What better is it to play the anime music that we so loved on the Yamaha Stagea Electone. This first video shows a musician playing the all so famous music we all know in Macross Frontier Lion. One of the most amazing performance ever heard...

Perhaps one of my favorites would be Clannad After Story's Toki Wo Kizamu Uta played on the Electone. Well... that is if you could afford one of these at a whooping price of at least SGD$15,000. A mini version of the Yamaha Stagea Electone costs about SGD$3000 and similarly boost the same functions of the original.

One of the best ever music I heard would definitely be Lupin The 3rd. Looks difficult to master though... However with only the electone, you could become a one man orchestra right at the comfort of your own home... The fact that this instrument could actually play almost all sounds made by theoretically all instruments you could find...

J's Chimes: The Amazing Anime Action Duplicates

Have you ever notice that some scenes or actions are similar to one another in other animes? Popular scenic views like doves flying into the sky or actions by characters are actually duplicated in such a way that either we did not really notice because of the different angles animators present to us or that our minds see it as a different anime altogether. But perhaps this little video best explains why anime has somehow been copied and paste over and again when animators are running out of creative camera views and ideas...

J's Chimes: Culture Japan

Back in AFA, Danny Choo presented his speech about Japanese Culture and one of the videos include an hour long programme directed by him was aired on stage. This is probably one of the most amazing programmes around and educational in some ways or another for people who wanted to know more about Japan. Episode 0 was loaded in Youtube as a preview for the other episodes to come and you can view it here below.

Danny Choo was probably one of the reason why I'd blog too. That's why I've always look upon him as a role model as he's able to make this passion of his into a job. Anyway, Culture Japan will be aired on Animax starting December so you might wanna consider subscribing to Mio or Starhub TV for that if you are really interested...

J's Chimes: AFA X Mini Tour

Here's a little video I've scrapped up for the Anime Festival Asia X. For those who did not went, maybe this would give you anidea of what AFA is about. And for those who had already been there, you might wanna take a look to reminisce your enjoyable moments there...

J's Chimes: Dark Vader And Smart Phones

What does Dark Vader and a smart phone have in common? Ermm... They are both black in colour and looks cool... highly advance... Hmm, sometimes I wonder what they both really have in common...In any case, this phone by Docomo looks so much like the Iphone or Samsung Galaxy... Somehow the name Galaxy S is being used too... Well anyway, this advert is really cool somehow...

J's Chimes: Video Game Rap

Presented in a Rap music, this video clip shows you the transition of the early stages of video games until what we see till today... However, there are a couple of consoles in which they missed for example the Panasonic 3DO and Neo Geo. Whatever the case this is still the mainstream ones that shaped the world of video games that we see today...

J's Chimes: Countdown To AFA X

Only 2 weeks left to the yearly event that will be held at the Suntec City Convention in Singapore... Yes, the Anime Festival Asia is back once again and this time it promises more stuff and programmes for all anime fans... Even prepared a countdown timer to keep track of the days left before the official opening... So kick back and watch this introductory video of the coming event that is happening on the 13th and 14th November next month...

J's Chimes: Japan - The Strange Country

All you wanted to know about Japan: The strange country. Perhaps this best summarizes all of the stuff that you would find weird and amazing... Informative in a way or two and certainly creatively portrayed in an easy and simple little video right here...

J's Chimes: A Successful Presentation...

It was nerve-wrecking when the lecturer finally announced the results of our presentation and gave feedback for it. And when it was finally our turn, surprisingly our presentation was the second best in Day 1 of the 3 day presentation period. After all the hard work that we had put in, our efforts are finally paid off. Everyone in our group had really done a seriously great job in the role-playing of our presentation. It is somewhat unfortunate that we did not record it though... In any case, here's the complete introduction video of our topic titled 'An Introduction To Otaku Culture' which was break down to 4 main sections mainly manga, anime, cosplay and video games... A really big thank you to those who had made it all possible

Now Miku takes a little break in singing and join forces with freeman to do some fighting as a pas time hobby...
