Banned Chevy Corvette Commercial

After reading the orginal article by Street Legal TV, I could connect with this author when it comes to modern day censorship. In this current day in age, our society has become overly protective, and at times controlling, as to what gets published to the masses. Here is a fine example of this issue: when the C6 Corvette made its debut, a commercial portrayed a 10 year-old boy behind the wheel of the Corvette performing the same high-performance stunts that us enthusiasts would perform(i.e. burnouts, donuts, etc.).

However, this commercial somehow got banned, as a complaint was reported to Chevrolet that they were promoting children to joyride in their parents' car. I'm not sure about you, but after viewing the video clip of the "banned" commercial, I do not walk away with that same impression. Instead, I interpret a vehicle being so fun to drive that it brings out the "inner kid" in you. So, without further due, I would like to share this clip with you, provided by Street Legal TV, of the Corvette commercial in question. Take a look...

P.S.- Normally, I try not to become so opinionated in any of my blog posts. But after blogging about this topic, I have to leave certain members of our "overprotective" society with my favorite quotation from the NFL analysts of ESPN when I say "C'mon Man!!!"
