Speed traps... oh how we cannot stand them. But what if speed traps were created based on the data collected from your GPS systems? In the Netherlands, this is the case, where GPS provider TomTom has sold their users' data to local police and thus the police have then set up speed trap areas based on that data. According to TomTom, their data was sold to local authorities to concentrate on congested areas that would need more road space to handle a higher capacity of drivers(which those decisions are made by the government & not law enforcement).
